Two Decades of Excellence
Our staff focuses on the unique needs of our individual patients, providing the elite service you deserve!
You will always get a real and friendly voice on the phone. Our staff is trained and knowledgeable to answer many general questions, however, please understand their limits of expertise. They should always refer you to consult with the physician to have your unique needs addressed. No two patients are alike and it would be unfair to treat you as if you were.
We have several staff members to serve your needs. We will happily find you appointments to fit your busy schedule, help with skin care and laser needs, help you maintain a youthful appearance throughout decades, and walk you through the cosmetic enhancing process.
We take pride in the service and care we provide to our patients, because we wouldn’t be here without you!
Mark Owsley, MD
Dr. Owsley grew up in the town of Wallace, Idaho, where he met his mentor, Dr. Hubert Bonebrake, a family practitioner. Dr. Owsley spent many Saturday afternoons on Dr. Bonebrake’s porch discussing his future in medicine (after the yard was mowed).
After graduating from Wallace High School, Dr. Owsley attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana. He worked his way through college in underground mines, like his father had done—his dad didn’t want his son to lose sight of his roots. This hard manual labor helped him establish his work ethic and sustain his enthusiasm to finish school.
Upon graduating, Dr. Owsley attended St. Louis Medical School and went on to his residencies at the University of Texas for a six-year general surgery program, followed by a three-year plastic surgery program.
In 1995, he returned to Idaho to begin the practice of plastic surgery. Dr. Owsley was the first surgeon in North Idaho to practice free-flap and tram-flap reconstruction of the breast, as well as endoscopic breast augmentation. Although he initially immersed himself in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, the practice is now 100% cosmetic procedures.
In fact, his recertification with the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2010 focused on case studies and written exams on cosmetic procedures and the avoidance and resolution of complications.
This elite certification holds him to the highest level of standards and ethics, thereby making him an expert in his field. Because of this training and certification, Dr. Owsley will provide you with the confidence needed when choosing a plastic surgeon for your cosmetic needs.
Dr. Owsley’s interests outside of medicine include the great outdoors—he likes to camp, fish, hike and ride his mules in the backcountry.

Stephanie Chapman | Medical Assistant
Stephanie Chapman joined the team as the Medical Receptionist in 2009. She took a short break in 2011 to raise her two young girls and returned in 2013 as the Medical Assistant. She has a wealth of knowledge about cosmetic procedures, and the medical industry.
When she’s not at the office, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her daughters Sophia and Olivia. Most of that time is spent watching the girls perfect their horsemanship skills and cheering them on at open horse shows. Stephanie will be the friendly face walking you through from consultation to recovery!
Alexis Melendreras | Medical Esthetician
Alexis Melendreras joined the team at Owsley Plastic Surgery in 2017. She received both her Esthetic and Medical Esthetic licenses at Glen Dow in Spokane Washington. Her passion is seeing the difference she could make in people’s lives through their skin! At the office Alexis performs all of our esthetic procedures.
When she is not at work she enjoys working on DIY projects on her home and spending as much time as possible in the water on her paddle board (with sunscreen on of course!). She also spend a majority of her weekends with family and co-parenting a lop eared bunny named Filo.
Mallina Labor | Administrative Assistant
Mallina Labor joined the team in 2018 after moving to the area from Tennessee. She has had her own weight loss journey and personal experiences that give her a true appreciation of how cosmetic surgery can be pivotal in goals and self-esteem hurdles. She is the person that you talk to on most phone calls and the first face you see when you come to our office.
When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her daughter Katie doing art projects and cooking. On weekends she spends most days working on the house and garden with her husband Billy. You may also catch her roller blading around Rathdrum with her two dogs Zeus and Milo most evenings.
Emily Comack | Esthetician
Emily Comack joined the team in 2020. She is a North Idaho native that has spent her career working in luxury spas. She became licensed in 2011 and is excited to add to her already extensive knowledge in aesthetics. It is her passion to help people with their skin problems and help make them feel more confident.
When she is not at working, she and her husband Colin enjoy taking their daughter Lily and son Carson to explore the outdoors. They love to take advantage of what North Idaho has to offer including camping, hunting, swimming, and riding their side by side.
